Xavier - Dead Can Dance
This song is essentially about the trials of Roseanna Xavier (using a mans first name for her surname is meant to be ironic) and she is a fictitious character, my invention.
Her only crime is to be a woman born into a mans world, a world that treats her as a second class citizen. Her prayers are for emancipation and equality and on a religious note to be free of the stigma of original sin… The sin of Eve (women) who are held responsible for the corruption of Adam (men).
Roseanna is the combined names of my mother, Anna and her sister Rose.
